Springfield Armory 911 .380 ACP Semi-Auto Pistol 2.7″ Barrel 7 Rounds Bitone Finish G10 Viridian Green Laser Grips
Everyone agrees that when it comes to a defensive-use handgun, 1911 is the standard by which all are judged. Springfield Armory is known for the Springfield Armory 911 .380 ACP Semi-Auto Pistol handgun, but they are also known for making it smaller and perhaps because doing so, making it better. The slightly-smaller-than-a-1911 Springfield Armory EMP has been a very popular addition to the firearms maker’s line-up. Springfield has taken miniaturization to the next level with the 911, a true pocket 1911.
Unlike other small firearms, the Springfield 911 does not suffer from less-than-optimal specifications and features. The Springfield Armory 911 features a set of Ameriglo Pro-Glo tritium/luminescent sights that are highly visible under all lighting conditions, and the rear sight is also tactical rack u-notch. The Ameriglo Pro-Glo sight is low-profile so as not to interfere with any sort of draw from concealment.
.380 ACP Grip
The Octo-Grip texturing on the 911’s mainspring housing and front strap allows from a secure fit while still being smooth enough to not hurt your clothing. The guide-rod is full-length and has a flat wire spring for control. Hogue makes the awesome thin G10 grips, the G10 mainspring housing, and the G10 trigger. Speaking of triggers that Hogue G10 trigger shoe of the Springfield 911 attaches to a crisp, short-reset 5-pound trigger, exactly what you would expect from a 1911 trigger.
Added on to the grip for this 911 model is the wonderful Viridian Green laser, when in a rush or in less than optimal conditions your aim will now not be affected. The thumb safety on the 911 is ambidextrous and is exactly where it should be for easy manipulation under stressful conditions. The magazines are a flush-fit 6-rounder and an extended 7-round magazine that allows you to get more of your hand on those Hogue G10 grips.
